Too easy!

Imagine this happening in a men's match!

"Tremendous! Tremendous!", as Harsha Bhogle would explode in such situations.

And I'm a bit amused by the title of the scoreboard. I also demand a ICC Hijra World Cup immediately. Cant you imagine Arundhati Roy shriek in yet another scream-and-shout rally near JNU, "What is this, if not blatant gender discrimination, to have matches only for men and women, and not the other gender!", as several pinko friends approve, much to the surprise and amusement of a few Hijre passing by.

I was actually jus about to write on this match.. but you beat me to it. =)

But I dont think it is being sexist to call it the Women's World Cup.. primarily coz the generic "world cup" term had been popularized previously by their male counterparts. It is not a social commentary on any sort of discrimination but merely an unfortunate victim of some sort of parachronism. Surely, the just and tolerant English (of Wimbledon Tennis fame) cannot be accused of such and such.. =)
